JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (CEFIPRA – A International joint INDO FRENCH RESEARCH PROJECT Govt of India): Ankesh Ahirwar has done his Master of science from School of Applied Sciences, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar Madhya Pradesh (A central university) in 2016.
He has cleared UGC- NET in Year 2015. He has joined Dr. Vandana Vinayak’s research group as JRF under CEFIPRA INDO- FRENCH Research Project entitled “Commercial pigment production by micro algae; towards the development of new biotech process” in April 2021.
His present research interests are in the area of Diatoms, DiafuelTM, ASTAXANTHIN from Algae, Algal culture, Algal based Fuel cells, Transcriptomics and new arenas in Bio Nanotechnology to develop new Blue Biotech process to increase High and Low value products for commercialization.
Project Lab Assistant (CEFIPRA – A International joint INDO FRENCH RESEARCH PROJECT Govt of India): Vandana Sirotiya has done her Master of Science from Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar Madhya Pradesh (A central university) in 2021.
She has joined Dr. Vandana Vinayak’s research group as PLA under CEFIPRA INDO- FRENCH Research Project entitled “Commercial pigment production by micro algae; towards the development of new biotech process” in August 2022.
Her present research interests are in the area of harvesting Astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis and biofuel from Phaeodactylum tricornutum using nanoscalpels, identifying upregulated genes responsible for astaxanthin synthesis and commercialization of astaxanthin based personal care and wellness products.
PhD Research Scholar: Priyanka Khandelwal is a research scholar in the Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Applied Science at Dr. Hari Singh Gour Central University, Sagar.
She has joined DNM lab under the supervision of Dr. Vandana Vinayak. Her research interests are nano-biotechnological aspects of algae, Microbial fuel cells, green and clean energy, etc
PhD Research Scholar:
JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWGurpreet Singh has completed his master from the Department of Anthropology Delhi University and his research interests are industrial and biomedical application of microalgae and role of diatoms in green energy. He is UGC-JRF 2022.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE-III (DST NANOMISSION Govt of India): Dr. MohdJahir Khan was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dr.Hari SinghGour Central University, School of Applied Sciences, India in DST Nanomission project titled “ Diatom solar panels for biofuel production”.
His research currently focused on sustainable energy and Nano-Biotechnology in Diatom Nano engineering and research lab.He received Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India. He joined Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi 2015 as a Kothari fellow (UGC, Govt. of India) where he worked in India and Malaysia on functional and conformational stability studies of SDR superfamily enzymes in organic solvents.
Dr. Khan is author of more than two dozen scientific papers published in the scientific journals of National and International repute. Currently as Research Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, Nakhon Pathom , ThailandW
LAB ASSISTANT(DST NANOMISSION Govt of India): DEEPESH SINHA was Lab Assistant in DST NANOMISSION project. He is B.A; Diploma in Mechanical engineering. He has gained knowledge in handling basic lab instruments, Preparation of media and inoculation and basic MS Office skills. Currently as Technical Assistant at IIT Indore.

S. GAUTAM – PhD Biotechnology awarded 2017 under co supervision of Dr Vandana Vinayak. Her dissertation topic was “Barcoding diatom DNA in death due to drowning cases”. She worked as Field Assistant in DBT research project “PCR markers to link death due to drowning cases” under Dr. Vandana Vinayak. She is now Assistant professor at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India.
M. MISHRA – Ph.D Forensic science awarded 2013 under co supervision of Dr Vandana Vinayak. His dissertation topic was “Developing diatom bases reconstruction techniques in drowning cases”. He is now Assistant professor at SHIATS, Allahabad, UP, India
